Alliance Artist Management Welcomes Michael Herring

Alliance Artist Management (AAM) is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Herring to its team.

Michael Herring joins Alliance Artist Management as a booking representative effective February 20. Michael is finishing his time with the international artist roster of Young Concert Artists as operations manager, where we worked with artists and presenters from all over the world. As a passionate advocate for choral music he also serves as the managing director of The Dessoff Choirs, a 94-year-old, non profit, avocational choir based in Manhattan.

Michael holds a B.M. in Violin Performance from DePaul University in Chicago, where he was a student of Janet Sung. While at DePaul, he studied early music and historically informed performance practice and continued these studies with members of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra in Toronto, ON. Upon graduation, Michael accepted a position with the Marlboro Music Festival where he was manager of the Musicians from Marlboro, the touring ensemble born out of the chamber music festival in southern Vermont. He has taught violin and viola for The Harmony Program in New York City, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.

Manager and AAM cofounder Rob Robbins looks forward to a bright future:

“We’re thrilled to have Michael on board. He brings a wide range of experience, musical loves, and big open ears! He’s a go-getter and a true enthusiast.”
