Phantoms of the Orchestra

"You did it again! Phantoms of the Orchestra was a complete success. We are still hearing glorious praise for the program from staff members, musicians, teachers and parents."
-James Fahey, Youth Education Manager
Chicago Symphony Orchestra

A ghostly musician enters the stage and plays the Bach Toccata, thus calling forth...the "phantoms of the orchestra" and a visually stunning concert program that brings the story of the Sorcerer's Apprentice to life.

Now the conductor, and his nervous assistant, must use the power of a silver baton to control the phantom orchestra and lead a concert; but as in the story of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, trouble arises when the apprentice attempts to emulate the master.

In addition to drama, this concert presents a satisfying, diverse, musical program suitable to family, education and pops concerts.

(solo organ played by Maggie Peterson)
Kodaly: Ballet Music 1925
Bach/Stowkowski: Little Fugue in G
